About Tribal Fusion
Tribal Fusion was born in the last 30 years, stemming off from American Tribal Style, which went back in time to mix traditional aesthetics and movements with the classical style of bellydance we have seen in the last 200 years. Over time, this again branched off from the more ethnic look and sound to combine with dark, cutting edge music and costuming, along with hip hop and modern dance moves, all blended together to create a new art that's both old and new. This style has found a niche in the underground art scene in urban cities, cafes and salons and often draws on the dark, emotional, and even macarbe to explore a darker yet equally important part of the spectrum of the human psyche.
